DELPHASTUS CATALINAE
(Predator)

Latin name: Delphastus catalinae

Minute (1.4 mm.) black lady beetle that works in whitefly hot spots. Feeds on whitefly eggs and immature stages of greenhouse, banded-winged, sweet potato, woolly, azalea and hibiscus, cloudywinged, citrus and Rhododendron whiteflies. Delphastus can be used with both Encarsia and Eretmocerus because it avoids feeding in parasitized whiteflies.




SHIPPED: Adults in bottles with shredded paper.




OPTIMUM CONDITIONS: 16-35C (61-90F); 20-80% humidity.

RELEASE RATE: 100 Delphastus per whitefly hot spot or 10 Delphastus per infested plant, introduced weekly for 3 to 4 weeks.

SPECIAL NOTES: Works well in low temperatures and low light levels.

Note: BENEFICIAL INSECTS - must be ordered by Thursday for shipping the following Tuesday
