This large pine box should be mounted high up into a tree to attract Flickers. This bird species is a common member of the Woodpecker family, it loves to feed on ants, beetles, caterpillars, chinch bugs, grubs, crickets and wood lice. Kestrels are small hawks which feed primarily on rodents and larger ground bugs. The dietary requirements for the Screech Owl is quite similar to that of the Kestrel. This box opens easily from both the top and the side.

These boxes should be mounted 6' to 30' with the entrance hole facing south east.
